This was really outstanding

This was really outstanding, especially for the price. I came here a few times under the previous management and it was ok, but fairly basic pub grub. The new food though is really, really good. I went for a hot honey chicken burger, which was absolutely great and genuinely these were some of the best chips I’ve had anywhere. I eat out a lot and often pay substantially more for food that is not on this level. Looking forward to my next visit!

Booked here for a weekend barge trip and weren’t disappointed. 3 excellent meals good priced craft beer and excellent friendly service from Harry. Thank youšŸ‘ definitely recommend

Great place , amazing food

Called in with my daughter this afternoon and was immediately taken aback by how nicely decorated it is . We sat inside and had lunch which was incredibly tasty . Iā€™ll tell you how good it was , my daughter cleared her plate which doesnā€™t usually happen . Really nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and helpful . I will definitely be back , next time with more people so they too can experience what I have today . Bravo

Incredible food, amazing value, highly recommend!

So so so much better now it has been taken over by new owners!! We came last year and wasnā€™t impressed with the food or service. However we couldnā€™t have been happier with our lunch today! Such a great menu with so many options, we had the butterbean houmous starter which was INCREDIBLE! (We had to take the rest home as we couldnā€™t bare to leave it!). Truffle & Parmesan roast potatoes which were beautiful (even took the last one home too!) and a battered haddock sandwich which tasted amazing! All so fresh and amazing value. The pub is dog friendly both inside & out with dog bowls and treats our pup definitely appreciated. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We couldnā€™t recommend it enough and will certainly be back!šŸ™ŒšŸ¼
